I've tried twice now, over about six months, on two different computers, to install JVC's ProHD Clip Manager so that I can preview and sort the clips from my JVC GY-HM700U before bringing them into PrPro CS5. Right now the Media Browser on PrPro is the only way I can see what's in each file (I'm recording in .mp4 format as using .mov break's CS5's 64-bit compatibility).

Install seems to go fine, but on both computers I get the message: "The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000142). Click OK to close the application."

Any ideas? I'm running Windows 7x64 on both systems... is this a 32-bit only app, which Windows isn't able to make run properly??

I tried and gave up on that utility and am using the Sony XDCAM EX ClipBrowser (http://support.sonybiz.ca/esupport/eSupportHome.asp) which is a great tool.
Scroll down the list and grab XDCAM EX Clip Browser v2.60.
My NLE is Sony Vegas so I'm not sure if it will work with PPro but you have nothing to lose.

Hi Mike,

I also had this problem when I purchased my 700 last September, the disc supplied was only compatable for windows 7- 32 bit. I went the Sony route and still find it the best, but if you wish you can now go to the JVC pro site and download the updated version of their clip browser programe which is now compatable with 7 -64bit. I have both the JVC and the Sony on my computer, but now only use the Sony version. JVC's is a slimmed downed version of Sony's. I edit with Canopus Edius.
