That's good news!
I had been planning to upgrade my current system to an AF100 in the future, with the understanding that the my nanoflash would be a good partner for it.
I had heard the CreativeVideo.co.uk had tweeted that this had been approved some time back, but there had been no official statement from the BBC.
It would be nice to see this in writing at some point though, but this is a really good indication of things to come.

Just be careful, BBC regions may have a different standard requirements to a BBC network HD programme.

The audio report by BBC's Dave Chalmers, is to my mind, the most complete and telling report or review on the AF-100/101 to date. He also talks a fair amount about things from a production perspective and the state of the industry. A lengthy report but valuable information is dispensed.

Certainly reinforces that only reason to shoot with a 5d is for specialised shots or if your budget can't stretch to these new large sensor video cameras. For large zoom ranges, best go for the 2/3" type cameras, you won't have a shallower DOF with a practical compact size on the large sensor cameras.

I expect the self shooting directors will be using the Canon XF305.

The Nanoflash gives these cameras a big advantage over the DSLRs.

Just to put everyone right on this. The BBC HD channel have conditionally approved the AF100/AF101 with NanoFlash for SOME types of production. I.e. You have to ask permission first.
This applies to all of the BBC not just Scotland.

Hi Dan and/or Andy at CD,

I was wondering if there has been any progress with regards to capturing progressive framerates from the AF100 on to the nanoflash? I had read somewhere that all of the kinks had not been ironed out yet (though I could be wrong on that!). I might be looking at upgrading at some point in the future, and the AF100 would meet my requirements if it matches well with my current nanoflash (I just cant afford the F3....).

I was just speaking with John, our Chief Engineer, yesterday evening about that.

John is going to investigate this as soon as possible.

In preparation for solving this problem with have obtained, direct from Panasonic, their confidential document which details how they flag their active frames.

Thanks for the speedy response as always. Good to know you are on the case!

One other thing; I had been reading somewhere else that people have been experimenting with other recorders trying to capture the HDMI signal from a Panasonic GH2, with varying degrees of success. There seems to be a lot of debate over whether the HDMI out is uncompressed or not. I understand the CD team is pretty thorough with the tests that you run in your lab, so just in case you ever get a hold of a GH2 I'm sure a lot of users would be interested in your verdict.

Not sure if anyone read this, but there is an article about a shoot using the AF100 & Nanoflash on provideo coalition. They mention a workaround for progressive shooting (until the firmware patch comes in). Needless to say they were happy with the results:
