I KNOW we have visited the topic of copyright before and I HAVE read most of the threads dealing with copyright, but I didnt see an answer to my question.
Using music in a wedding or event for photo montages, does this fall under synchronized license? I understand the debate about this issue. I just need a clear concise opinion as to whether its under this license. Harry Fox Co. has stopped issuing this license as well as Ascap and BMI.
From what I read, I will have to contact the publisher outright? I understand about needle drops and royalty free music so please no posts about that. I have many clients who want the usual music for weddings and I want to clarify the issue of who to contact and what license.
Also, has anyone had any luck with publishers in ref. to this license? Harry Fox responded to me within 2 hrs...so I was grateful.
Any info appreciated, but I dont want to start an argument about the ethics of copyright...Im trying to do the right thing.
