I know this has been put out here before... but I can't seem to find any threads to help me.

I need to put a corporate logo in the lower corner of a training film... similar to what CBS and other networks have on their broadcasts.

Can someone point me to the thread or tutorial, to save me some time?

Did you get the logo from the company?
Ideally you want them to get their printer to send you an EPS file of the logo.
Open it up in Photoshop, change from CMYK to RGB, size appropriately, save in PNG (or PSD) format and import into Vegas.
Once there, drop it on the timeline over your video, open Pan/Crop, right-click and select Match Output Aspect and then shrink it and move it down to the lower left.
Make sure you have the safe area lines active and don't go outside of them.

Yep Ron, Mike has helped me with this same thing and it worked like a charm.

Ron, I neglected to mention that if all they have is a small copy of the logo such as a business card (been there done that - it's painful), you have your work cut out for you as it's a real PITA to get the background transparent without too much fringing around the logo edges :(
That's why you beg (or threaten!!) for a printer version of it.
Be advised that if it comes from a Mac shop, it may not have an extension on it so you'll need to ask what type of it is and add the extension yourself as the Mac OS doesn't believe in extensions (just like my trusty old Amiga 2000).

Yes, Mike, me too! If all you have is the logo from a business card etc, you might want to lower the composite level on the logo track so it's transparent. I have just done it myself on a corporate video and it hides a multitude of nastiness (looks quite cool too).

Another thing you might try is getting a copy from Google Images or directly from the client's website.
