Gday gents. I'm needing a 50mm on my 7D to get a semi telephoto lens. While I love the look of 50mm f1.2L, I don't feel like spending that much money.

So I'm down with these two up for consideration. I've tried the Canon and pretty happy. But heard some good feedback that the Zeiss is worth the extra money spent.

Have anyone compared the two on 7D? I mainly use it for wedding during prep shot.

Maybe get the zeiss in the older c/y mount. I've got it and am pretty happy with it. You'd have to do some research on what has been improved.

Hi Daniel

is your lens the Zeiss Normal 50mm f/1.4 ZE Planar T*, around US$700?

How do they compare with the Canon equivalent? Reckon it's worth double the price?
