T.STOPS: Simple resolution test of the Sony F3. (http://timurcivan.blogspot.com/2011/02/simple-resolution-test-of-sony-f3.html)
Interesting to see what happens at the breaking point. Surprising result.

Was Detail on, settings there? EX series defaults were over sharpened for mine, maybe F3 defaults push it a bit far?

I turned it all the way down to -30. that is very low edge enhancement.

That's about where I run my EX3. Hopefully I will have my F3 in a few weeks to play with myself...

Do you still have a nanoFlash? If so, can you add its 280Mb I-frame to your testing and report back? Thanks

Let the F3 fanboys rejoice. My F3 arrives today and I'll be connecting it up to my KiPro straight away! Some tests to come.
I'm NOT a test junky or "my things bigger than your thing" kinda dude, but I am curious how the better CODEC enhances the already awesome stuff I've seen from this gem. I'm kinda humbly awed how good the XDCAM footage is looking. It's kinda making me rethink my game-plan. ;-)
Anyone know where I can get some testing charts that don't require I remortgage my home?

Not as good as buying decent charts, but OK for A/B comparisons. Print them out as large as you can.
