Hi there,
I'm new here and delighted to see such an informative forum!
I stumbled upon editing by chance after being filmed for a documentary (you can see the trailer for the documentary here 30/01/11: "5Gateways" Documentary Trailer | Openhand (http://www.openhandweb.org/300111_5gateways_documentary_trailer) ). After being involved and observing what was going on behind the scenes, I just knew that I wanted to learn how to edit.
I was given an older sony semi-professional camera and bought also a consumer Canon HD HF S200 for GV's.... and have been using good ol' imovie to learn to edit. I have maxed out with it now though and am about to purchase new software (probably Final Cut) and a new HD semi-pro camcorder.
Thanks for having me here :0)
I am looking forward to getting to know some of you here and sharing.
