on the vimeo player its hard to see the difference between 24mbps 1080p and 12mbps 720p...

Victor, thanks for the samples. I uploaded my first video to Vimeo today and used your settings for the 12mbps and was pleased with the results.

I do not get any sound with any of the videos. Vimeo or You Tube.

I went to You Tube and clicked on a different video and had sound. I also shut my system down and put in my backup drive which I am using now and still no sound at all!

Videos from others have sound, not these.

Danny, I know this is probably not what happened but by chance did you not highlight both the video and audio timelines when rendering the project? I only mention it because I almost did that I am so used to rendering them sperately for MPEG 2 for DVD.

You did not get any sound because they have no sound, not because there was anything wrong with your computer.

I assumed they had sound because the specs showed Audio: 320 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 32 Bit, Stereo, AAC and the OP did not say that there was no sound. At least I did not see it.

I wanted to make sure the problem was not my system before I said anything.

I am back to my normal boot now.

The way I know there is no sound is that I do not hear any sound. :)

Sorry for the confusion. I rendered without sound as that's one setting I don't change. That's the danger of copy/paste. So much of what I shoot contains musical performances, I alway set audio to 320 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 32 Bit, Stereo from LPCM.
