Hello,
I have Vegas Pro 8 & 10 and currently working on an event video where I want to spice it up by adding zoom motion, shake, and jitter effects. Can this be done using the default effects in 8 or 10 or can someone point me to a plugin that will do it? So far I've seen the "Mayhem" VASST plugin, but didn't want to spend $50 bucks.
Thanks,
Troy

New Blue has an effect called SP Active Camera that is part of one of it's samplers. It will do exactly what you want.

Sorry, I just saw you don't want to spend $50, the package above costs at least that, but it has so much more than just that...it's loaded with cool stuff, including very cool transitions.

I will check it out. I wonder if I can use track motion? Also, I thought Vegas had some New Blue Fx preinstalled? I will check the site to see what Vegas Pro 10 has.

Vegas 9 came with free new blue effects you had to install yourself...if you're using the studio version I have no idea what they have or don't have. The New blue Active camera fx has earthquake, train motion, all kinds of very nice motion effects.

The effect you want is very easy to do without any extra plug ins.
You could use track motion as you said to move your material, a key frame every frame or at least every 2 should do it.
Use Colour Corrector to change colours and brightness,
Use a blur to change transparency while twitching.
Maybe convert to a 3d track and play with the Z axis if you want it to fly out at you a bit.
Save as a Preset when done.
Total cost..... 3-5 min of your time.

Looks like $49 will get me what I want, but didn't want to spend that much. I skipped Vegas Pro 9 so unless it's in 10 I won't have it. Thanks for the help.
