A while back, folks on this forum recommended a Canon VIXIA to complement my EX-1. I am now looking at a Canon HF-S21 as a static back camera (insurance). This S21 model seems to be most happy recording at 24p in dark rooms. My EX-1 has never been used at 24p. I hope someone has worked with this combination at special events. Advice?

I'd use both at 30p although the Vixia is 30p in 60i.
I'm not sure I'd mix 24p because the EX1 records true 24p (23.98) whereas the Vixia I believe records 24p in 60i (I use Vixia HF200 on occasion).
