so, a 2 day art event happened, and some of the participants shot a bit of documentation video.
i was later asked to cut the material together in order to describe the work. i was given an hour and a half of DVCAM footage and some kind of JVC mpeg2 files.
i also requested whatever photographs could be found.
opting to avoid any descriptive voice-overs or text, i decided upon cutting the documentation into something of a puzzle: where viewers may decipher what the work was about.
i found it to be quite a challenge in terms of narrative, but i'm quite happy with how it turned out.
i'd be curious to hear some reactions:
