... because i'm messing around with one at the moment and i'm a bit puzzled.
the camera can be switched between "field" and "frame" mode.
frame-mode is said to increase vertical resolution but decrease sensitivity.
this frame-mode would not be the same as cannon's XL-1 frame-mode which increases light sensitivity and decreases resolution (through line-summing)... my guess is that it would be closer to the VX2000's 'progressive' mode which also increases vertical resolution whilst decreasing light sensitivity (and frame-rate)
but the thing is, when switching between field and frame-mode, i just can not see any difference to the picture at all.
i'm entertaining a few theories,
but anyone here maybe have an idea of why this is?
