Can't wait to see this one. Certainly a must see for any wildlife filmmakers out there. Lion's Gate has the trailor up, check it out!

so, does anyone have opinions about this film? i just saw it last night and am still thinking about it today, which, to me, is usually the sign of a good film.

i saw timothy treadwell live, presenting a slideshow several years ago in telluride, and in person, he was extremely earnest, entertaining, charismatic. i found it interesting that i found the film version of him sort of annoying and narcisstic...it is always so fascinating to me how things translate (or don't) across media.

there is a lot more herzog to this documentary than there is in his other works, which i also found intriguing. he so often comes across as self-absorbed and bullying (think "fitzcarraldo"), and in this documentary, i found him extremely sympathetic, compassionate, even soft.

this is the best meditation on the clash between technology and the wild that i've ever seen.
