I just installed Vegas Pro 10 64bit on my new computer. I have hooked up my external hard drive that has my Vegas 8 Pro 32 bit saved vegas projects, captured footage, etc.
When I open one of these saved Vegas 8 prjoect files (veg) in Vegas 10 it appears to open but an error message pops up that says;
"An error occured during the current operation. An error occured writing the file. Make sure you have write access to the file / folder and that there is enough free space"
I should mention that prior to that message is one saying it can't find an audio file (it was stored on the old computers C drive). Since we don't need that audio for this edit we choose the option to ignore this file.
After the error message the audio peaks stop building and where they would be it says (media offline) however the audio is there and plays correctly.
When I render the video and audio to Windows Media files they appear to render, save correctly, but when media player plays the file back both audio and video are blank.
Any ideas?
