Hi There,

I am doing very few interviews, so I have been fine with a wired soultion. Now it looks like more will be comming, but not so much that I can justify a Sennheiser kit. I have found this:

Line 6 XD-V30L Wireless Microphone | XD-V Digital Wireless Microphone | Line 6 (http://line6.com/xd-v/)

Half price of the Sennheiser kit. I can feed 9 Volts to the reciever from an batterry pack. This is fine since I'll be stationary.

So have anybody any experience with Line6?

Thanks

Not in the same class.

The Line6 is 2.4GHz frequency (microwaves).

This is a channel that is used by WiFi and the like and loads and loads of small devices.

I would not trust that channel at all for serious audio and I certainly would not want a 2.4GHz transmitter strapped to by body.

Not sure if the operating frequencies are the same in Europe but here, I have five cordless phones that all operate at 2.4GHz as do most of my neighbors and friends. I can't imagine that having anything where audio is crucial operating at that frequency range is a good idea.

Funny, I am located less than 5 miles from Line 6 here in Westlake, they make great products but mainly for musicians, have never heard of them going into sound reinforcement yet, must be a new direction for them.

The 2.4GHz frequency band is world-wide (I had forgotten that DECT cordless phones were on there as well) which is why there is so much stuff in the band.
