Is anyone using this software with DSLR clips (ie no timecode) and if so have you found a way to make multicam mode work with the synced timelines?
From what I can see it is only possible with a group of clips that have overlapping start and/or finish times. Sequences in chronological order with multiple non contiguous start and finish times could not be grouped via the in and or out points.
I have edited a sequence with cuts in V1 and V2 (and dropping the play clip on the higher timeline) - but the features of multicam ie: point and click for cam selection look neat and fast. Also later being able to change cams with the up and down arrows and/or choose another audio track may come in handy if the clips can be grouped.
I did read a suggestion about changing the Auxilliary timecode on each clip and using that for group sync - but that is way to manual and time consuming.
With regards
Jeff
