Later this month my new computer will be here that I will be downloading an upgrade of Pro 10 64 bit onto. I currently use Pro 8 32 bit on my old system.

I have extrenal hard drives with captured footage, vegas 8 project files, etc that I want to hook up to the new computer running Vegas 10 64 bits. Since all of these Vegas files where done on 8 at 32 bits will they work with Vegas 10 at 64 bits? Will I be able to open a Sony Vegas Project file that was used on my old sys at 32 bits in the new one that runs 64 bits?

Yes, they will work fine. The one thing to be sure is to immediately give the VEG files a new name so the original files will still open in VP8, though.

That's right but they won't work backwards (i.e. a project created in Vegas 10 will not open in Vegas 9, 8 etc). It reinforces Edward's advice about renaming.

Richard.
