I am looking for a cable out of the ex 3 that would be able to port to a monitor via dvi. is there a cable/gender chager box that would accomodate...hdmi ti dvi on the ex 3 ...sdi to dvi...etc?

I believe you'd have to get a converter box like this one:

AJA HDP2 HD-SD/SDI to DVI-D Converter HDP2 B&H Photo Video

taking the SDI out into the box then into your DVI monitor. The EX3 does not have an HDMI out. If it did you could get a simple adapter or they even make cables that would do what you want.
