Hello,

I created a 30-second High-Def introduction in After Effects that I need to import into Vegas.

In After Effects, I rendered to MPEG 2 (BluRay) and tried to import this onto the Vegas timeline. However, I discovered that Vegas will not let me import .M2V files.

So, my question is this: What format render settings should I use in AE so I can import this clip into Vegas, continue editing and then burn the final project to BluRay?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Jerry

I always use Cineform now, but before I had that, Lagarith is rock solid between the 2 programs.
I wouldn't be rendering to any form of serious compression like Mpeg2/4 before the final render for the disc, multiple compressing is a very slippery slope.

yeh what Gerald said... m2v is for dvd authoring, not editing. i don't think any nle accepts m2v anyway.

use a lossless editable format like AVI (lagarith, cineform, etc), MOV (dnxhd, photojpeg, etc) or image-sequence (tiff, tga, png)... pick whichever maintains the colorspace ur working in.

then out of Vegas render to m2v... or export again in same format and have AE do the render if you prefer.
