View Full Version : Premiere CS5 Crash - "Cineform related" say Adobe experts

Hi all,

I am having a problem when working in Premiere CS5 which causes it to crash. Looking in my event viewer, I see the issue is the file MSVCR90.dll. I have included the text from this below, as well as the link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The entire project uses files Cineform AVI's and people at Adobe say it's a Cineform issue.

Have you logged a support ticket with Cineform? The team there is now actively looking into the CS5 crash ntdll.dll module issue I reported a few days back.

You already have an extensive thread going on this issue in which it isn't yet clear that you've tested whether the error occurs while Cineform is completely uninstalled (not just re-installed). If the problem disappears when Cineform is not installed, please file a Trouble Ticket with Cineform, if you haven't already, even though Adobe reps already indicated they are in communication with Cineform about your system's problem. If the problem occurs despite Cineform being removed, let Adobe know in the existing thread on that forum:

BTW, I notice that the fault data shows PPro 5.02 rather than 5.03. Since you said in the other thread you did the 5.03 patch it might be good to offer more current fault messages to Adobe (and Cineform, if needed).
