hi guys
I'd like to create a special logo with some fancy 3D animation, to use before my videos. (Paramount stars cough cough) : )

now...I cannot think of starting to buy and learn After Effects, and clearly Vegas has its limitations

any nice plug-in that has a decent learning curve and still provides good results?

thanks

Take a look at BluffTitler DX9: 3D Effects for Video Titling and Digital Signage - Homepage (http://www.BluffTitler.com)
It's a stand-alone package which I've used to bring just what you are talking about, into Premiere and Vegas - and it won't rob the bank...

In no particular order, here are some for you to check out.
The first two are well-known plug-ins while the last three are free 3D animation programs.

Heroglyph (http://www.prodad.com/home/products/videotiteling/heroglyph/300049059,l-us.xhtml)
BluffTitler DX9: 3D Effects for Video Titling and Digital Signage - Homepage (http://www.outerspace-software.com/blufftitler.html)
blender.org - Home (http://www.blender.org/)
DAZ 3D - Free 3D Software and 3D Model Providers (http://www.daz3d.com/i/software/bryce7/-/?)
3D Modeling Software - trueSpace (http://www.caligari.com/)

edit: looks like two votes for BluffTitler :-)
