I understand that Sony will be incorporating a fix in Vegas Pro10b that allows Cineform "Configure" to be selected when setting up a render. Meanwhile, I have a question. When setting up a Cineform render in Pro 9, I am able to select "Cineform x64 Codec v 6.8.1". When I attempt to select Cineform when rendering in Pro 10a, the only choice is just "Cineform". No version info is shown. As previously mentioned, "Configure" cannot be selected either. (See attached images for details.)
My question is: I have a project that I need to export for an authoring service. My project was created in Pro 10a and cannot be opened with Pro 9. If I export to "Cineform" in Pro 10, just what am I exporting? Would it be better to export uncompressed video meanwhile? I know the files will be huge but most importantly I want the best quality video.
I realize this is a Sony problem and Cineform can't just wave a magic wand and make it go away. I'm just looking for suggestions on what to do while we wait for Sony's fix in Pro 10.
