He loves the Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 - First bit of filming with Panasonic GH2 and good news about clean HDMI OUT! (http://philipbloom.net/2010/11/21/gh2/)
View Full Version : Phillip Bloom and GH2 with Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 Dave Eaton November 22nd, 2010, 07:36 AM He loves the Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 - First bit of filming with Panasonic GH2 and good news about clean HDMI OUT! GH2 with Nokton 25mm F0.95 Ginza at night Eric Lagerlof December 2nd, 2010, 02:36 PM darwinfish105 has some definately interesting movies. The GH2 has got some good-looking footage. Now if we could only get the camera here into the US. Any day now please... Les Wilson December 2nd, 2010, 06:43 PM I found Phillips video difficult to watch. The DOF was so shallow with the .95 lens that I had to search to find the sliver that was in focus. It was more like blurry video segments separated by brief moments in focus. Wacharapong Chiowanich December 2nd, 2010, 10:45 PM So did I on the darwinfish105 video above. Hard to see any area in focus. I think f/0.95 is pushing it too far for video other than very thoroughly planned set-up shots with a full set of stabilizing and focusing aids. Joe Ogiba December 4th, 2010, 08:00 PM Maybe you guys that want the full FOV in focus should get a small sensor camera like the Panasonic HDC-TM700. Try using a Canon 5D MKII with 50mm @ F1.4 with the same scene and there will be even less DOF. Not a single poster in the thread said anything about wanting the full FOV in focus. |
