Hey folks, this is my attempt at a last minute decision to pull a luma key using the color corrector (secondary) effect and some masking.

YouTube - Elance Cloud Commute (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSr6rIYCB1E)

We shot this 1-minute video against a white wall, and then afterwards I decided that even though I want to keep the background white I would really like some subtle movement in the background. At first I kicked myself for not shooting against a green screen, but then common sense prevailed and I decided to try my hand at luma keying. So I duplicated the track, masked out the face, and keyed out the white wall. The dark hair made a decent contrast so it worked! My very first attempt too! Haven't played around much with luma key before, but will do so now!

What do you guys think?

well done mate.
looked pro until 1 min, she tilts her head up and your faded mask doesnt follow.
if you fix that one bit, it really looks the goods.
cheers

Good observation, Gerald. I was so caught up in watching her I missed it. Very well done!

Someone tell me how to achieve that audio effect? Must be quite simple...I just can't imagine how it's done.

Yes, good observation Gerald. I sort of let it pass because it looked more like a shadow than a masking error. Will be more careful next time :)
