I'm not sure whether this is related to cineform.
I'm getting a medialooks watermark on some video playback.
I did a search and medialooks is a directshow filter.
I have no idea how it got on my machine, but it seems to be messing things up.
I can no longer playback MOV files (not cineform MOVs) in Premiere. I read the removal of the cfdquicktime importer plugin may resolve the issue, however I'm still having the same problem, any advice?

Two separate issues. One is a bug in the Premiere API that we are working with Adobe to help solve, if you removed both CFHD MOV importers, you will need to talk to Adobe. MediaLooks is filter we license that allows MOVs to be converted through DirectShow (used by HDlink), it was particularly needed prior to Windows 7. You can remove MediaLooks by renaming this component
C:\Program Files (x86)\CineForm\Neo??\QTsourcePXT.dll

Thanks Dave, I did read the Quicktime Read Me file and I did remove the 2 importer filters. I renamed the QTsourcePXT.dll so that WMP doesn't playback MOVs now (is this correct).

Still no joy in Premiere playing back MOVs.

Could there be a direct show registry file I need to delete?

If those aren't CineForm files, then error has like nothing to do with the CineForm install. The Premiere importer bug has related to any MOV importer using the "Source settting.." pop-up, as you have removed the CineForm MOV components it must be a third parties component. Adobe support is you next step.

Thanks Dave, really appreciate the support.
I'll try Adobe support.
