Hi all, recently I have been getting a message stating "Take care, some potentially malicious content detected" whenever I go onto the dvinfo web page. Has anyone else received this message? Bob
View Full Version : malicious content detected. Bob Safay November 13th, 2010, 08:22 AM Hi all, recently I have been getting a message stating "Take care, some potentially malicious content detected" whenever I go onto the dvinfo web page. Has anyone else received this message? Bob Tony Davies-Patrick November 13th, 2010, 09:10 AM No, everything seems fine when I connect. Colin McDonald November 13th, 2010, 10:25 AM Me neither, but sometimes I wish it would say "Take care, some potentially very expensive content detected. Ask yourself, "do I really need this?"" Tony Davies-Patrick November 13th, 2010, 11:26 AM Lol! Burn your credit card before logging on, Colin! :) Andrew Smith November 13th, 2010, 11:51 AM Bob, Any chance of a screen shot of what you are seeing on the screen? Andrew Bob Safay November 13th, 2010, 12:10 PM I think I figured it out. I had some kind of PC Tools Browser Guard on. I disabled it and now the message is gone. Hope that was it. If not I will let you know. Thanks. Bob Walter Brokx November 23rd, 2010, 08:55 AM 'PC Tools Browser Guard' could be the reason you get the thread message. There are several malicious 'anti-virals' that enter your computer as a trojan, start warning and scaring you, disable your real fire wall, etc to make you buy that software (or even steal your creditcard info?). Did you ever install it? If not: search the web for anwsers.
