Hello All,

Can anyone please give me a solution on how to convert AVCHD 1080 60p files to a mpeg2 file or anything that Adobe CS4 can handle? I'm looking for a free converter since I don't deal with AVCHD usually. I have tried a few free programs but they are not delivering for me.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

Thank you for the suggestion Bart, but that program did not work for me. I know a lot of people use cineform but I was hoping for another option.

You could try mpeg2 i frame and see if CS4 can handle it a little better.
See settings in attachment.
Cineform is realy good though.

Two options have worked well for me:

1. Use Adobe Media Encoder and use Blu-ray preset to convert to m2t.
2. A slightly faster transcode method is using AVCHD Upshift, a program from New Blue FX. This program runs @$80.

Either way gets the job done.
