Hi! Has anyone dialled custom profile settings on their cameras which you consider to be really a 'nice' setup for weddings and corporate events?
(or am I asking a dumb question?)

Here are some posts I've found at dvinfo and the nxcam and nx5u groups on vimeo. Sorry to the originators, I didn't save names to give credit.

To my goal of getting a sharp picture and a warmer color palette, here's a profile that seems to work. Try it and see what you think...
I shot several before and after tests and was pleased with a crisper image, warmer and slightly more saturated colors, as well as a more accurate color rendition.
Start with the default Picture Profile 3 and then proceed to customize it. Number 3 is designated as a shoulder camera with ITU-709 gamma.
Here is what you change within profile 3.
In Color Mode change the default from "standard" to "ITU-709."
In Detail, change from default zero to +4.
Change v/h balance from default zero to -1.
I think these results are quite nice and I will continue to explore and refine the other settings as well.

Hi Petur,
I got thus from DVinfo.net and have been using it
For all around shooting, I've been using the following settings so far:
BLACK LEVEL
Master Black +10
Black R 0
Black G 0
Black B 0
GAMMA PD
BLACK GAMMA
Range High
Level -7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ok, but first you have to know two things:
1. I was just playing with the settings changing them to various levels, nothing too fancy
2. I applied some Levels in Premiere to get deeper blacks
Black level - 0 all
Gamma - cinematone 2
black gamma - range (low) - level (+3)
knee - auto
color mode - type (standard) - level (8)
color level +5
color phase 0
color depth - 0 all except y(+3)
detail level +6
I am 90% sure that this was the profile. I was looking for multiple settings, I don't remember if I changed the profile, this was the last one activated.

Hi Ario,
So far not yet ... It all seems rather, 'flat' ... :-(
