Here's a quicky test I did tonight at a music festival in downtown Fort Pierce. There were three clips in the piece where I had to adjust the exposure a little in PPCS5. But for the most part, this camera is GREAT right out of the box. I haven't started playing with the scene files yet.

And Chris, you were right about the viewfinder. After a while, I got used to it.

Hi Sherri
Neat footage and you do a great handheld job too!!! Yeah, I really didn't know what you were talking about with the EVF but once the action starts you are too busy filming.
I guess you like the 150 a lot better than the 40???? The images were really great and I absolutely love a camera that you can just pick up and shoot with !! I use my cams on auto most of the time as if I start fiddling with settings the event is over... !!
They are still awesome cams!!! I am very reluctant to move to the new HMC 80 as it basically is a shoulder mount with the 40 electronics!! I think an HMC150 with a shoulder mount rig is a better mix!!
Looking forward to more clips soon!!

Hi Sherri,
I am surprised you are not waiting for the AF100 and instead you got the HMC-150.
Of course, the HMC-150 will make a good b-camera for the af100.
I love my HMC-150 but can not wait for the af100.
Good luck!

Hey Simon,
The AF100 would be overkill for me. I don't need that level of sophistication when I mostly do run-and-gun videography. I have a Canon 5DMKII that I break out if I need to get creative....:)

Hello,
That makes sense if you have the Canon camera for the DOF shots.
Is there such a thing as overkill in video? ;) You can never have too many features!
Good luck with the HMC-150. Great camera!
Best regards,
Simon

Hi Sherri,
Video looks very good. Thinking about HMC150 myself, just sent you a PM with a couple of questions if you have time to respond.
Thanks
