What do you think of the following ?
When people contact me to book for their wedding, I always advice meeting first in person.
Most of the times, this is more then a year in advance.
So by the time when we have to go to their wedding, it's possible that I can't even remember their faces anymore, because you meet so many people and see so many faces.
Now I was thinking of asking a picture of the couple so I can put it in their map, so it would be easy for me to remember.
But I don't know if I can do this or not, because it may seem to some of them that by not remembering who they are, as something negative.
But sometimes I just don't know anymore who they are.
A way to solve this is by asking if they can send an invitation card to you aswell, but not all people have a photo on their invitation cards huh.
What's your opinion ?

If I was a client, I'd find it weird if you asked me for a picture so you could remember what we looked like.

You could try using Facebook and friending them, or I guess you could save their photo to your hard drive.

Shoot their picture on your phone and tell them that is how you keep track of your clients.


I use to do portraits and spend an hour or so with the person. Several times they came back into the room just 5 minutes later, and I would not remember them.

I have this issue too and have been thinking of getting a snap shot of them.

Currently, I just look for the signs or clues to whom is who.

Iphone photo is a good idea. Tell them you are putting their name and number in your phone.
