Does anyone know if Canon is looking into this firmware upgrade that Panasonic added to the HPX300? If you are not aware of it here is a link. HPX300 (http://www.panasonic.com/business/provideo/flv/rhc_vids.asp?video=vid9) You would think that if this is possible on that CMOS cam that any manufacturer can replicate it and begin to fix the rolling shutter flash banding issues... Just got a 60D and I would like to use it for the occasional news story that I may film. Most scenes have many flashing lights that would introduce the flash banding. I do have a CCD cam that I will use until I dont have to worry about these dreaded rolling shutter issues.
