Hi all,
I'm looking to get a mount of some sorts to go on the back of my Samson UM1 UHF Diversity Receiver. Unfortunately, it is not like the Sennheiser Evolution G3 100 Series Receiver that nicely comes with a hot shoe mount accessory.
I am looking to mount it on top of my Canon 7D with this: Rycote 037303 Hot Shoe Extension 037303 - B&H Photo Video and a mount for my H4n: Bescor SA-1 Universal Swivel Shoe Adapter SA-1 - B&H Photo Video (that little hotshoe on there comes off revealing a 1/4" mount bolt...which will screw in to the back of my H4n.
I like the idea of it being all together on one camera instead of duck taping it or strapping it to some other place.
I don't mind DIY'ing something a bit to make it work. They make hot shoe mounts but all of them have a bolt sticking up and no flat surface to mount my receiver. I even thought of manipulating this: Sennheiser CA2 Shoemount Adapter CA2 - B&H Photo Video (which naturally comes with the Sennheiser G3 100's) I'd buy the G3's but currently I don't have $800 to drop.
Just looking to hear your thoughts and ideas.... Thanks!!
Nick
