Changing from HDV tape based workflow to the Canon 50mbs/sec 4:2:2 with the XF305, I would like to hear from anyone, the best editing workflow.

I am using CS5, plenty of ram and out board drives, Cineform Neo4K, an AJA LHi card and a Nexto-DI.

Do you convert footage once transfered to the computer, with HDLink? How does the workflow become affected to get timeline monioring output with the AJA card? The question is how do you integrate Cineform with this new Canon format/codec?

Anyone thoughts would be appreciated!

The current beta 5.2 adds support for Canon 50Mb/s 4:2:2 sources, so you can use the XF305 just as you would other flash based sources.
