I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Avenger and Matthews versions of the "Road Rags" kits. These two kits consist of two 24"x36" collapsible frames, a silk, flag, single and double scrim. Everyone seems to speak highly of the Matthews Road rags kit. At BH it is about $80 more than the Avenger kit, and, owning both an Avenger and Matthews C-stand, I must say the Avenger is much higher quality. Anyway, curious to hear if anyone's used this kit. Thanks!

Peter

Matthews C Stands are waaay better than the Avenger. Look on any set and you'll find that Matthews makes up the majority of the grip gear. Some rental houses have started using Avenger. Most of the other Avenger stands are fine, but I think that the Avenger C's are crap compared to the Matthews.

Matthews make the best C Stands.

Having said that, go with the the Avenger, they're cheaper. But I'm not wild about the shape of the Avenger's nets, you loose a little at the corners whereas the Matthews are more of a full profile net. Haven't used either, so I can't comment on anything else.
