Hey all,

I've rented DSLRs for shooting a lot, but just made my first purchase - D60. So now I have to outfit it a bit. First on the list is an external LCD monitor - and I'm looking for recommendations. The two most relevant requirements are:

- Takes HDMI in, and also feeds video out as a composite or SDI
- at least 800x480 resolution (I don't need full res)

Of course, I'm looking for the cheapest that meets my requirements.

Any suggestions?

Format conversion is a feature you won't likely find on any monitor with small and reasonably priced in its description.

I just bought the SmallHD DP6 and from the first impressions its a great field monitor. Not exactly cheap but reasonable for the quality.

Ruige has one.
It's called TL-480 or something and it has HDMI to HD-SDI conversion/loopthrough option. It will cost about 1200 USD.
The monitor itself is 4.8 inches and with 800x480px resolution.
