Hi,

i have a GlideCam 2000HD and a Manfrotto 701HDV Head. Can you tell me how can i install a system that allow me to switch from one to the other quickly? I´ve seen quick release systems but not shure of what i really need. Can i use the adapter from the Manfrotto head, and install a plate in the glidecam and use the adapter from the manfrotto head there?

As the 701HDV head uses the 501PL slide plate, you can attach one of these adapters:

to just about anything you want and simply move your camera with attached slide plate from one unit to another at the flick of a lever.

It can also be used to convert any non 501PL plate unit of any description to a 501PL system by simply being screwed to whatever plate is in use.

It is an exceedingly versatile little gizmo.
