I'm guessing a crane or a dolly? Any way of getting it on a low budget?

What shot? That quick pan/dolly move? You can do that on any stabilizer and do a time remap in post. Nothing too hard about it.

It's a bit short to be certain, but it's possibly a move and zoom the perspective changes too in a slightly weird way. Like the classic Hitchcock, but with the move and zoom not cancelled?

If it is the ramped "punch in" shot from below waste level, I agree with Perrone but it could have easily been done on sticks or with a Steadicam. The shot is so brief and with the ramping zoom it is difficult to tell how the camera was mounted. The punch in zoom could have been done in the NLE as well.

The Hitchcock reference was a good call. They probably would have avoided steadicam in most of the shots as it would have wrecked the feel although I do see some in there.

It's a straight-up dolly move (with a very short speed ramp at the beginning). Nothing fancy there. I don't see any perspective change that indicates a zoom/dolly combo.

"Bored to Death" does use Steadicam, my buddy Ron Baldwin does it. This shot is clearly dolly though. Only reason we'd do a shot like that on crane would be if you were already mounted up for another shot.

Am I missing something??
