I would like to export my finished movies edited in PP CS5 back to the camera in order to show it via HDMI out to a HDTV.

I am editing on a Macbook pro. I am buying the mini display port adapter to HDMI for the same purpose, but it would be nice to be able to show my videos from the camera.

It's not that easy. Once you get rid of all the metadata included with the video files, it will not play back in these cameras.
Far better to buy something like the Western Digital media player and use that to play back your edited videos via HDMI to a TV set.

I was doubtful I could playback an edited video on the camera. I guess I will be buying a mini display port to HDMI adapter for my MacBook Pro. Or buy the Western Digital media player.
