View Full Version : Anyone running Adobe CS5 Mac version on a Mac Pro? Greg Patch September 21st, 2010, 06:54 AM Like the title says. Anyone? How does it work? Good, bad? Let me know Rob Katz December 6th, 2010, 08:14 PM as a mac pro/fcp user, i'm interested. any premiere users working on a mac pro? thanks in advance be well rob Steve Oakley December 7th, 2010, 12:06 AM you mean a tower ? just great. I have a QFX 4800 ( CUDA ! ), 8 cores, 12G ram and a MXO2 rack + MAX, also runs fine on my core 2 duo laptop 2.93, although not as much RT clearly as a big box and I just got it running on a i7 iMac. no CUDA ( @#$@# ATI GPU ) but otherwise a very strong machine. using gigabit / NAS for media storage Graeme Hay December 7th, 2010, 02:07 AM I'm using CS5 on a Mac Pro Tower, it works well except for the embedding function between Premier and AF causes crashes (when you put a clip into a Premier timeline then edit it in AF and expect it to update). Rob Katz December 8th, 2010, 05:25 PM steve/graeme- thanks for the thoughtful responses. are u running premiere under the mac osx or windows emulator on a mac? i have a mac pro 8-core and an imac i7 and have wondered whether i should find an alternative to final cut pro for the occasionally situation where premiere might be the better option. thanks in advance to those who care to share. be well rob |
