I'm working in Vegas 9. I've got a Red One project that I'm editing now with cineform Express 1k files. A couple questions.
Does Cineform Raw retain all the information from RED's sensor? Will I be able to make all the color correction changes in firstlight and modify the metadata like ISO, color temp, FLUT... everything that is in the File Format properties window in Vegas when I'm working with straight R3D's?
If so, can I make Cineform 4k raw files, and also make Cineform 1k Raw files. So I can do my edit and basic color correction on the 1k's and keep fast performance, then pass along the Firstlight settings to the 4k cineform raws and finalize the color and render.
All the hassle of working with that HEAVY camera in the heat was so I can have the ability to color correct in raw. So I don't want to "burn-in" any of the metadata til the final render.
Any advice?
Thanks!
By the way this is my first post!
