Hey there, im leaving for a four day shoot in about 6 hours and iv just descovered a dead pixel or two, i know People are reluctant to post the process of how to get into the hidden menu but i just dont have the time to spend hours searching the web and theres no way to get to a jvc tech guy either.

Tim if you're there or anyone else I would very much appreciate it if you could drop me an email with the process, you'd be saving my butt.

my email is camera.shy@btinternet.com

Cheers folks
Andy.

Ok i figured it out but i still have a problem, in the hidden menu the pixel comp is blank, just a bunch of dashes and i cant click on it, is there a special way of getting it to work?

Cheers
Andy

You have to be in 24P mode.

Thanks Robert you're a legend. I could have spent ages trying to figure that out, searching endless amounts of posts.

oh, and if you don't know, (or anyone else who trips over this thread might not know) try to do it after the the JVC has been on for at least 15 minutes, preferably on a hot day. I'm not sure if running up the gain makes any diffference, but I tend to throw my gain up to +9 just in case it helps bring out the hot pixels easier so they can be masked.
