The aperture wheel on one of our 7d's has stopped working. I can not change the aperture in manual mode, nor can I scroll through photos or the menu. I was scrolling through photos when the wheel stopped working. I've turned the camera on and off, I've removed batteries and the CF card.
Any thoughts?

I'm sure you've checked the aperture dial lock switch to make sure it isn't locked. That one still gets me on the 5D2 when I turn it on/off, though the 7D design makes accidental trippings less common.

That was the first thing I checked - and I switched the lock back and forth, but it wheel still doesn't seem to work.

It's usually the LAST thing I check. :)
Let us know if you get it figured out.

turn off the camera, take off the battery and cf card with it all out turn the camera on and back off, then replace the battery and cf card see if that'll work

I would lean towards the rear switch or wheel being broken at this point.

If he's in one of the auto modes it might not work, or if using a manual lens.

It stopped working while he was scrolling thru the photos.
