Seth Palmer July 28th, 2005, 08:51 AM Did you grab this from your video or was it taken with a still? Great thought... Chris Davis July 28th, 2005, 10:17 AM Nice. Are you handy with Photoshop (or know someone who is?) I'd take some the superfluous people and items out of the picture, like the stroller and people on the left. That would make it look a bit nicer. Lloyd Coleman July 28th, 2005, 10:30 AM Looks good, although you might consider a little more information. The name of the web address does not spell out what you do. If I received this card I might could come to a number of conlusions about what you were advertising for with the picture and line 'Wish you were here?' : 1. A dating service so I could find someone to marry. 2. A tour of churches in the area. 3. A support group for parents who have unmarried children and want to get them out of the house. 4. A photograpy, or video, or catering, or decorating, or wedding planning service. Colvin Eccleston July 29th, 2005, 12:19 PM Thanks for your feedback, everyone! It started as an experiment to see how a 16:9 grab from hdv would fit into a 6x4 print. I have received a mixture of responses and have got a whole list of new concepts to follow. The original idea was to get extra orders from relatives and friends. I liked the way the action was out of frame to pique the viewers' curiousity. It did make them feel they were missing something. The photo isn't quite right but now I know what I need to get at the next wedding. Happy shooting! Bill Porter July 29th, 2005, 06:22 PM I agree; very clever and well done. |
