I mostly shoot sports and primarily use an EX1R, which is great. Occasionally I need a second cam and have an AX2000 that I like pretty well. A while ago I got caught up in the shallow depth of field fervor and got a 7d and some good primes. I used it once on a short interview segment, but never liked dealing with the limitations.
I've been thinking about selling the AX2000 and 7d+glass and getting a second EX1R, which I don't really have to do, but I hate to have unused gear sitting around depreciating. I considered waiting for the upcoming MFT Panasonic, but I had a GH1 for a while and thought that the Panasonic implementation of the AVCHD codec wasn't nearly as good as Sony's.
I generally don't wait for the next great camera, but it does seem like there should be a bunch of new models incorporating VDSLR features on the near horizon. Think it would make sense to upgrade now or should I sit tight for a while? Thanks, any insight would be greatly appreciated.
