Check out this promo video for a local DJ that I shot using a T2i. It was my first time using it and I love it for low light.

I used the Canon 50mm 1.8 for everything. I had a LightPanels Micro LED light that I needed for a few shots, but the majority of the shots were just the available club lighting.

Let me know what you think. Anything I can do to improve? Your comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I like the color and tonality. But maybe try to get steadier shots next time, possibly with a rig or IS lens.

Pretty good, but it's not a great idea to cut -exactly- to the music's beat - too obvious. Try a bit more syncopation when cutting video to music.

Thanks!

@Jad: Good point about the steadier shots. I thought the shakier shots would add to the "craziness" of the events.

@Sam: Yeah I agree about the syncopation. It was tough not to do it on the first beat, but when it got into the techno I really couldn't find good spots for cuts so I just did it with the beat. Do you have any samples of vids that I can check out that did a good job of using syncopation? Just want to get a feel for how its done.

Thanks again!
