hi there
I have 2 problems when trying to playback files from the Ex1r

if I use the clip browser to watch the raw footage it works, but the playback is somewhat less "fluid" than expected

If i play the raw footage with another player the image is fine, but I can't hear any audio

any help appreciated

I think that has to do with the propreitary format of MP4 that EX cams records but you may use VLC player it a free software though it may give some errors but it will play it. you can download here VideoLAN - VLC media player for Windows (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html)

I tried with VLC but it doesn't work

it' strange as my computer can play "normal" Mp4 no problems, using Windows media player. it's just the Ex1's MP4 that have no audio

anyone else experienced this (no audio when playback of raw files without the clip browser)?
I tried with WM player and Zoom player

what are the other files generated in the movie folder (.smi, .ppn, .xml, .bim)?

You probably have codec problem you best option is buy mainconcept software/plugin if you are on windows or calibrated software if you are on MAC. with that you should be okay. the other files are metadata files. but thinking about it now you did not mention your NLE it will actually help in solving this issue.

Are you using premiere and which version and OS?
Are you on mac or pc?

actually I downloaded a more recent version of VLC and it works now!
strangely, if I watch the mp4 in the folder created by the EX1r, VLC will open the file but always prompt an error message, while if I take the mp4 out and copy it elsewhere it works fine

you probably have a codec problem though you did not say anything about your editing software
