There were a many subtle changes to address stablity bugs, so it is worth while update for all users. 3D features have expanded to in prepration of a range of 3D or sync'd cameras coming to the market.

From the readme:
Build 5.1.0.268, released 10-August-2010
.... Added -- a new Settings control panel in FirstLight 3D Mux tool, to enable automatic stereoscopic
........ conversation to a use many of the features of HDLink like: pulldown removal,
........ deinterlacing, resizing and quality controls.
.... Enhanced -- 3D display mode -- Interlaced renamed to "Line Interleaved" to avoid confusion
........ with video interlacing.
.... Fixed -- FirstLight would sometimes not completely quit.
.... Several minor tweaks.

The new downloads are now active on Cineform (http://www.cineform.com)

I am getting the same 'licensing error' as with 5.07:

"You are attempting to encode a stereo/3D format for which this system is not licensed. Please contact support@Cineform.com."

and:

"Returning from encode sample, error: 55. Please contact support......."

Then HDLink hangs..

System is a Core/Duo running WinXP SP2, with a Blackmagic Intensity card (software/firmware at latest version)

I have tried this with other files of the same type, with the same results..
The same type of file (HD 50i MPEG2 M2T) from my Canon HV30 had worked OK with previous versions of NeoHD, and reverting to 506b265 'fixed' the problem.

Right click on the 'C' icon in the systray, and set "3D Display Type" to "Left Eye". If the failure still occurs, contact support.

"3D Display Type" was already set to "Left Eye". I will contact support.

Thanks.

I can't get an email response from the update request. Is the server okay?

I am experiencing the same problem that is described by Robert Gadsdon with HDLink under the current build (Neo3Dv510b268). I experienced the same HDLink problem with Neo3Dv507b267.

As David N. suggested, I made sure the the 3D display type was set to Left Eye but the problem persists.
If I revert to Neo3Dv504b261 the problem is gone.

I have contracted support with the problem.

Is it this version or even earlier version of First Light but I cannot see any more in Metadata shooting information and all that staff. Now I can see only CineForm and Tool sections.
Is that information cut out?

Hannu,

All the metadata is still there.

This is from a project I did this weekend using a Canon 7D.

NeoHD contains all the CS3 features of Prospect HD. However we are not expanding CS3 support, moved all development to CS5 (which helps CS4 a little, but not CS3.)

Thanks David,
It must have been an older converted file I was looking. I did convert one with the new Hdlink and it is working.
This tool is very useful for checking conditions and shooting data as you can do with EXIF information of still photos.

We've still got CS3 running on one ws and it's fine with NEO 4K.

CS5 PP is pretty nice though...even on older quad systems. Nice stability, nice tools, especially in AE.
