I know the EX1 can output HDV (25mbit) via Firewire/iLink, but I was wondering if it can also output full resolution HQ mode (35mbit) via Firewire/iLink too?
I ask because I'm wondering if the EX1 can be connected to a PDW-F75 deck to export the original 35mbit compressed video to a Professional Disc, also at 35mbit, using Firewire/iLink to transport the original data without decompressing to HDSDI?
Anyone know if this is possible? There is much written and said about 25mbit HDV, but I am more interested in the full 1920x1080 35mbit HQ.

No it's not possible on the 70 or 75. To even do the live streaming of the 25mbit HDV stream you need the optional TS card installed, the card is the PDBK-102 card. Then you can play the 1440x1080 25mbit stream to / from an HDV recorder. Sony describes it as such:
Allows 25 Mb/s HDV stream (MPEG-2 TS) to be input and output between the PDW-F70/F30 decks and an HDV device *Only one of the PDBK-102, PDBK-103 or PDBK-104 boards can be installed at any one time

The iLink connector is only active when the EX1 is in 25mbit mode.
It would be nice if there was a 35mbit option but there isn't. :(
