I know it's not a wedding, but it's still a "one shot event"... I was asked in my full time job to cover the retirement ceremony of one of our guys. I've only shot weddings before, so this was a welcomed change.

Stephen,
Just a couple of things.

I thought that when reitring from the service after 30 years that they would have GIVEN him a helicopter. I guess not huh.

I also liked how they gave him a free helicopter wash, do they run that special often?

Lastly I could see he was rather nervous speaking, I thought he was going to strangle that water bottle.

OK all kidding aside, I thought you did a great job capturing the moment and putting together a cohesive piece that told a story. I could watch this know nothing about him or the backstory and be able to follow the event and at the end feel like I was there and know him.
Again very nicely done.

Hey Don,,,

I guess you kind have to know our traditions to get some of it... We always get one last ride. The fire department is usually there to hose down the plane once you land. Thanks for the "story-telling" compliment... The ceremony was 2 hours long so there was a lot to condense.

thanks for watching.
