I just bought a Redrock micro follow focus for my 7D. I have letus rods V1 Support Rods (http://www.letusdirect.com/version1-rods.html). I thought I had everything to mount the camera on to the rods with the follow focus but just found out the hard way that I am missing some kind of hardware interface (DSLR baseplate?) to mount the camera to the rod. I found this but not sure if this is what I need. Redrock Micro DSLR Tripod Platform 8-017-0007 - B&H Photo Video. Wow $200 is there a cheaper solution?
